Winter Break

During winter break I spent most of my time watching movies and shows. I hung out with my friends, usually I would go over to my friends house and just hang out. We went ice skating and it was my first time. I had a lot of fun and I actually got the hang of it. For Christmas I stayed home with my family and we ate and opened presents. The presents I got were clothes, money, and books. For New Years Eve and New Years I went to Big Bear with my family, we went exploring and sledding.

"The Internet is Broken"

   Tim-Berners Lee the inventor of the web is saying that the internet is broken because of the "big change" of the internet. Lee's concerns are fake news, data privacy and access to the internet. Lee has a plan to fix the the internet releasing a new "Contract for the Web."

   

 In my opinion the internet isn't broken it just has to be updated. Privacy issues can be fixed by securing it better. Fake news will always be there we just need to have common sense and take precautions when needed.

Computer Engineering

What is computer engineering?

   Computer engineering (CE) students study the design of digital hardware and software systems including communications systems, computers and devices that contain computers. For them, programming is focused on digital devices and their interfaces with users and other devices.

  Computer hardware engineers research, design, develop, test, and oversee the installation of computer hardware and supervise its manufacture and installation. Hardware refers to computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment such as keyboards, modems, and printers.

  Computer engineering majors are offered by a fairly large number of universities, almost always within engineering. This major requires significant study of mathematics. The work of computer hardware engineers is very similar to that of electronics engineers, but, unlike electronics engineers, computer hardware engineers work exclusively with computers and computer-related equipment. The rapid advances in computer technology are largely a result of the research, development, and design efforts of computer hardware engineers.

Summary

What is computer science?

Computer science develops students' computational and critical thinking skills and shows them how to create new technologies. Foundational computer science courses in K-12 teach the fundamental concepts of computing. The AP course under development focuses around seven big ideas at the core of computer science.

How us Computer Science Used in Various Careers?

The fundamental knowledge is needed to prepare students for the 21st century, regardless of their ultimate field of study or occupation. 70 percent of computing are outside of the marination technology industry: 9 percent are in information services, 12 percent are in financial services, 36 percent are in professional and business services, 7 percent are in government and public education services, and 12 percent are in manufacturing. The College Board states studying AP Computer Science can open the pathway to 130 career areas and 48 college majors.

Summer Activites

Summer Activities

   This summer I mostly spent it here at school for colorguard practice. The whole team also went to a dance for three days where most of the day we were learning new choreography every hour and a half. Other than that I went to six flags a couple of times mostly with friends and my sister, I even got a membership pass. At the beginning of summer I went to the pool a lot with my friends. On the forth of July I spent time at my aunts house with my family and we ate and went walking around the neighborhood to see the fireworks. I also went hiking once with my friend and her family. I did a lot of binge watching Netflix and finished a lot of shows.
